Split Pillow Block Bearings
Split pillow block bearings are split-type housings (commonly known as tile boxes). The main feature of split pillow block bearings is that it is easy to install and can adjust the gap caused by wear, but the structure is more complicated than the integral bearing block. The split pillow block bearings are separable from the base and are mainly subjected to radial loads.
The split pillow block bearings accommodate a wide range of shaft sizes and can withstand high loads. Heavy-duty housings are available in grey cast iron as standard, providing greater flexibility in sealing and lubrication (with grease or oil). The split pillow block bearings can be used in equipment such as belt processing equipment in steel mills, fans, and blowers, felt rolls and drying cylinders for the paper industry, crushers for the ore processing industry, hammer mills, and drying ovens.

Features of split pillow block bearings
Our high-strength split pillow block bearings utilize several features to exemplify quality, durability, and performance. First, our split housings are made from high-grade cast iron and reinforced with thin webs for heat transfer and ribs to prevent deformation from over-tightening. The SAF housings also feature 2 threaded plugs on top of the housings for grease fittings and various testing equipment, along with 2 drain plugs on opposite sides of the accommodation at the bottom faces. Most of these units are supplied with Labyrinth Seals (LER) and a stabilizing ring (please confirm with your customer service agent for specific sizes). The spherical roller bearings provide superior performance and are made to precision standards from high-quality steel material. The product design is halved, and the cover and the bottom can be split, so installing and debugging the equipment is convenient. For demanding equipment, the split pillow block bearings are also designed with double and 4 stud holes. These components primarily withstand the radial loads directly experienced by the inner base.
